Getting Web Sites Indexed By The Search Engines

If you want to create websites that promote affililate programs and have Adsense on them to make money online and don’t want to pay for pay per click advertising, you’ll have to find a way to get free organic search engine traffic. Of course, to get traffic from them you must get your websites indexed by the search engines first.

To get web sites indexed, or listed, by the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN) you can submit your site to them and likely wait for months before it gets a review, which doesn’t even guarantee it’ll get indexed. The fast way to get the search engines to index your web site is to get incoming links to it. If you get a link from a site that’s already listed in Google or Yahoo, that link will lead to your site when the search engine spiders crawl the site linking to yours and likely get it indexed automatically. If you get links from websites with a high Google PageRank it’s even better because those sites get crawled more often and may get your site indexed within a few days. These incoming links will also give your new web site a better chance at getting higher search engine rankings and will give it a better chance of getting it’s own PageRank.

Once you create a web site, the first thing you should concentrate on is getting links to it to get indexed and ranked well for your main keywords. One way links from another site to your site are the best links to get. You can get one way links to your site by posting in blogs that don’t have the “no follow” tag and submitting articles with links to your site in article directories. You can also find services that will automatically get your sites some one way links for a monthly fee.
