Using Keyword Density To Get Higher Search Engine Rankings

If you’re trying to earn money online by promoting affiliate programs, using Adsense, or selling your own products and services you’ll need to get as much traffic as possible to your web sites. These days, to get traffic to your web pages, whether you use pay per click advertising or search engine optimization to promote them, you need to have as much unique, high quality content as possible. Within the content of your individual web pages you need to use the keyword or keyword phrase that you’re trying to get ranked in to get first page results on the major search engines. How often you use those keywords is known as keyword density.

Of course you’ll want to use your main keywords and phrases often enough in your web pages for higher rankings. However, if you use the same keywords and phrases too much within your pages content you may get penalized by the search engines. For proper on-page search engine optimization you need to find the right keyword density to succeed. Most webmasters consider the best keyword density to be 3 or 4% to rank higher in Google with Yahoo being a bit higher at 7 or 8%. Since there may be many places in your pages content to use your main keywords and phrases you should use some alternative words and phrases so you don’t overdo it. If your main phrase is “best dog training collar” you can use “top dog behavior training collar” instead for some variety. This may also help you get higher search engine rankings for various keywords and phrases.

Whatever the case, make sure to use your main keywords often enough, but not too often to succeed at SEO and make more money online

Getting Incoming One Way Links To Your Sites

Posted in Search Engine Optimization, Higher Search Engine Rankings, Websites, Search Engines, Links by Administrator on the April 13th, 2008

With the rise of Google and their search engine ranking system that rewards websites with a lot of incoming links, getting links to your site has become one of the most important factors to online success. However, not just any incoming links will do. Most blogs that allow you to comment have a “no follow” tag that makes any link you put in to not count in the Google ranking algorithm. You still may be able to get the link to count in Yahoo and other search engines, but if you want tons of traffic you need to focus on getting higher rankings in Google. Reciprocal link exchanges have been popular for some time, but Google is also discounting their value as time goes on. These days the best kind of incoming links to get to your websites are one way links, preferably from websites with a high Google PageRank.

A one way link is basically a link to your site from a site that you didn’t trade links with. If a webmaster comes across your site and thinks it may have some benefit to visitors of his or her site they may link to it and give you a one way link. However, if you’re new to the webmaster game or have built a new site it’s unlikely you’ll get many, or even any, one way links this way.

Fortunately, there are things you can do to get one way links to your website. A new program called Fast Blog Finder can help you find blogs with “do follow” tags that you can post comments on. You can also join Article Underground, which has many high PageRank blogs you can post on. There are other one way linking programs you can find online, such as CyberLinkPro, which offers thousands of one way links per month for pennies per link. Check out one of these programs or search online to find one way links to your website and get higher search engine rankings to make more money online.

Submit Articles To Article Directories For One-Way Links

Posted in Search Engine Optimization, Higher Search Engine Rankings, Websites, Search Engines, Links by Administrator on the December 10th, 2007

Anyone who’s been in the search engine optimization game for a little while knows that getting incoming links from high PageRank sites to their websites is a must to get them ranked high, with one-way links being the best. Of course, you’re usually not going to get a one-way links if ask for it. So how do you get one-way links to your websites?

One great way to get one-way incoming links to your sites is to submit articles to article directories. There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of article directories online, many with a good PageRank. If you submit articles to directories you can add a few links to your web sites in the article body or resource box. If your submitted article gets approved by an article directory you’ll instantly have some one-way links to your site. You’ll also be able to use any anchor text you want when you add your links to your submitted artiles.

Many webmasters need content for their websites and use the articles found in article directories for it. If one of your submitted articles gets downloaded to somebody else’s website you get even more one-way links. Since another webmaster may use your article for site content, you’ll want to be sure that you don’t submit articles that are identical to the content on your website.

The best article directories to submit articles to are EzineArticles and GoArticles, though there are tons of other directories you can also submit articles to.

Try submitting some articles to high PageRank directories and watch your incoming links and search engine rankings rise. Potentially, you’ll get tons of traffic and make a bigger online profit.
