Ideas To Make Extra Money Online

Posted in Internet Marketing, Make Money Online, Online Business, Websites, eBay by Administrator on the September 2nd, 2009

With the poor economy these days, it seems like just about everybody is searching for a new source of income. Because of this, I’m here to present you with three guaranteed ideas to make extra money online. None of them require special skills or significant time involvement. While they may not allow you to quit your day job, they’ll certainly bring in some extra cash every month, which can make a world of difference. Let’s get to it!

The first stress-free idea to make extra money online is microworking. This new way to make an extra income was trailblazed by Amazon’s Mechanical Turk service. The general idea behind the concept of microworking is simple – you perform small jobs for small amounts of money. These are tasks that require human intelligence to complete, due to cultural or linguistic abilities that a PC doesn’t have. Some of these tasks include spell checking, describing products, and evaluating search results. Each one only pays a few cents, and only takes a few minutes to do, but the cash can add up quickly, especially if you microwork during the downtime at your job.

The second item on my list of easy ideas to make money on the internet is affiliate marketing. If you’ve browsed the Web over the last few years, you’ve likely heard that affiliate marketing is a simple way to drive website traffic and earn more money. Affiliate marketing works by having affiliates drive traffic and customers to commercial websites. The affiliate earns a commission for each customer that makes a purchase from the website that they were brought to. The best thing about being an affiliate is that all you have to do is add links containing your affiliate ID to your website, blog, Facebook, or Twitter page. The success of affiliate marketing depends on how much money your readers are willing to spend, but every little bit helps.

The last of my great ideas to make extra money online is internet sales and auctions. eBay is the most popular and well-known internet marketplace, but there are many other alternatives available from a number of major retailers. Auction sites are basically the digital equivalent of a garage sale, with potential customers from anywhere in the world. If you have well-written descriptions and clear photos of your items, you’re more likely than not to find a buyer on eBay or other auction websites, especially if the item has collector’s value. Some people even scour thrift shops, free boxes, and garbage heaps for items that they can flip online for quick and easy cash.

Here’s hoping you use one or all of my ideas for making extra money online and help bring this country out of the recession that it’s in.

Starting A Successful eBay Business

Posted in Make Money Online, Online Business, eBay by Administrator on the June 24th, 2009

There are a lot of people that have turned their dreams of working full-time from home into a reality. The World Wide Web in general and auction websites such as eBay in particular make this possible, and now it’s easier than ever before to be your own boss and earn a nice income doing something fun. If you’re ready to begin selling your way to earning big profits, then continue reading about how to go about starting a successful eBay business.

The first step on your journey to starting a successful eBay business is to get a feel for how eBay works. Many of us have won or at least bid on an eBay auction at some point, but things are a bit different when you are doing the selling. It’s a good idea to organize a few test auctions so you can learn the right way to set minimum bids, add photos, receive payments, pack and ship the items you sell, and leave feedback for the buyer. You’ll have to know the entire process since these are things you’ll have to do often.

The second step in starting a successful eBay business is to decide what you want to sell. You can either specialize in a particular product (such as diet supplements or skin care products) and basically run the same e Bay auction over and over again, or you can sell a wide variety of merchandise (such as music, movie, or sports memorabilia) and set up separate auctions for each item. A lot of important factors go into this decision, including the current market for whatever you’re trying to sell and your ability to obtain a steady supply of the products at low prices. I would caution against buying huge inventories right out of the gate, however. Wait until you start profiting from a successful eBay business before sinking too much money into it.

The third step in starting a successful eBay business is learning how to deal with your customers effectively. This is very important because your dealings with buyers will be recorded in the form of a feedback rating on every transaction. Potential bidders can see your score and comments from past winners of your auctions regarding things like how promptly you replied to their emails, how quickly the product was shipped out, how well it was packed for shipping, and the condition of the item compared to the description in the original auction. Low feedback scores can scare off potential customers and hinder your efforts to build a successful eBay business, so it’s really in your best interest to go out of your way to excel in this area.

And finally, in order to start a successful eBay business, you must take it seriously and treat it like a job rather than just a hobby. Work hard, evaluate your progress every now and then, and continually try to improve and streamline your business. It might take a little while to see positive results, but by following this advice, success will come!

People who like garage sales, flea markets, and antique collecting are usually more well suited for eBay success.  Essentially, you find good deals on products in your area of the marketplace and turn them over for a profit. You set a minimum bid with the hope that you make money form it. Whatever price you can get over the minimum bid is gravy.

In the second category of ways to make money on the internet, you can be a freelancer, and sell your skills to existing websites. This is probably a faster way to an online income, but you need to be prepared to work hard. Again, self discipline is key to your ultimate success. For example, if you have graphic design skills, or are proficient in web design, there’s plenty of work out there for you. If you’re a writer, editor or proofreader, you’ll find also work. There are plenty of job boards online for freelancers, so look around for ones pertaining to your skill set.

However, many people do well enough to make a living. You’ll find companies that pay you to review websites or software. There are also opportunities to fill out online paid surveys. You must watch out for scammers on the internet. Google the keyword phrase ‘top work at home jobs’ for thousands of results. If you decide to sign up with a company, Google ’scams company-name’ to see if they are legit.

One of the most popular ways to make money on the internet as of late is forex trading. The foreign currency market is always open somewhere in the world, and you can take advatage of this if you know what you’re doing. You’ll have to start out with some capital and you’ll need to do plenty of research if you decide to trade foreign currency

Another way to make money on the internet comes from Google. Google Answers pays $2.50 if you can correctly answer a question in your areas of expertise.

Build up your online business gradually. Don’t quit your day job before your net income exceeds what you’re now making.
