Finding The Right Niches To Make An Online Profit
With all of the competition on the search engines these days you need to look for something very specific to build a website around if you want to get high rankings. It’s very unlikely that you’ll get first page rankings overnight for very popular keywords. What you should do is find a niche that doesn’t have an insane amount of competition (though there will be some competition for anything worth searching) and create a website around it.
Take a popular topic such as health and break it down into sub-topics like exercise, dieting, and addictions. These sub-topic keywords are probably still too general to get high search engine rankings in, so break them down even further. You could break down the “exercise” topic into cardiovascular exercise or weight training - 2 topics which will be much easier to get rankings in. Instead of focusing on the keyword “dieting” you could focus on “low carb dieting” or “low calorie dieting” and so on.
Once you build a site with some quality content web pages in it you can add Adsense ads and promote affiliate programs with links and banners that are relevant to your niche topic.
